About Me

After living in Portugal for 15 years and teaching English in various capacities there, including at the University of Aveiro, I moved back to the United States in 2019. Returning for our church was the best decision we have ever made and God has been so good to us. Reading the Bible everyday and trying to keep the commandments of Jesus are my priorities, along with loving my family and all the people God has put into my life. Helping people is something I enjoy doing, and meeting the individual needs of students who want to learn English is important to me.

Vocabulary
Knock- beat the door with one’s fist before entering a room
Date- going out with someone of the opposite sex
Let’s get a move on- let’s start doing things to get ready and go
Understated- more reserved, conservative
Fortune teller- someone who takes people’s money to tell them their future
Prom- a dance given at a secondary school where students dress up
Lace- a light decorative material used usually for parts of a dress
Made it through- survived
Chase them out- force them to leave
Fix breakfast- make breakfast
Get children up- wake children up and get them out of bed
