About Me

After living in Portugal for 15 years and teaching English in various capacities there, including at the University of Aveiro, I moved back to the United States in 2019. Returning for our church was the best decision we have ever made and God has been so good to us. Reading the Bible everyday and trying to keep the commandments of Jesus are my priorities, along with loving my family and all the people God has put into my life. Helping people is something I enjoy doing, and meeting the individual needs of students who want to learn English is important to me.

Listening-Conversation Exercise


Everybody Loves Raymond
You Bet

Vocabulary (idioms and phrases included)
Powder puff, rash, by all means, ointment, to go, Giant’s locker room, pretty much, cleared out, receiver, sow seed, broad, get with the program, out of touch, a lot on his mind, on the road
-Look up the vocabulary words and idioms before watching the video, as these are important for understanding the context.
1.     When Ray comes home, who does he think he’s talking to before he turns around?
2.     Who is he really talking to?
3.     When he realizes it is his father and not Deborah, what does he say?             (0:00-2:25)
4.     Raymond asks his father what he’s doing there and what is his response?
5.     Deborah brings Frank ointment to put on his rash, and Raymond says, “That’s to go.”  Why does he say that?
