ANSWERS Mike and Molly- Soup

1.     When Joyce asks what the stench is, what is Mike’s response?
It’s his dinner.
2.     Mike says he hopes they had fun and Joyce tells him they had a blast.  What did Molly win?

Mike and Molly- Soup

Mm, mm not good- the slogan for a popular brand of soup in America (Cambell’s Soup) is “Mm, mm good.”
Aloha- this is a greeting in Hawaii
Stench- bad smell
Lentils- a type of bean
Saddest of the soups- the worst soup
The limbo- a contest to see who can walk under a stick, leaning backwards, at its lowest point.
That’s our cue- that’s our signal to leave
Portapotty- a portable toilet often used on construction sites, or at outdoor fairs.

·      After Mike accidentally shoots a hole in the roof of his squad (police) car, his colleagues gather to make fun of him.

Marksmanship- skill in shooting well
Clean shooting- a good shot
That roof was coming at you (atcha)- the roof of the car was attacking him
Moon roof- many cars have “sun roofs” and “moon roofs” which are both an extra window in the roof of the car.
Everybody get their shots in- he’s telling everyone to go ahead and insult him and or make jokes about what he did.
Don’t take this the wrong way- sorry to have to tell you this
Watch my back- look out for me, protect me
Show of hands- raise your hands to show affirmation or a willingness to do something.
Ride shotgun- to travel in the car with someone as a passenger
Couples counseling- counseling for married couples, or in this case, partners who work together
